Agility has been updated to allow users in a hosted environment to import files directly from local workstations when processing imports, third-party interface programs, conversion programs, and EDI functions. This enhancement increases efficiency by reducing the steps required to import files. To use this new feature, the local machine must have Agility Virtual Channel Plugin Manager version 5.0 or higher installed. The impact of this change is different based on whether you have a hosted or locally hosted environment. For hosted environments, the following changes have been implemented.

Steps to Update

·         The 'Select a file' icon has been replaced with a 'Browse...' command button on numerous windows.

·         A new 'Agility Virtual Channel version' field has been added to the System Config Settings tab in the System Configuration screen. The field defaults to "AV4".

o   When set to "AV4", the 'Browse...' button allows selecting a file from the terminal server.

o   When set to "AV5", the 'Browse...' button allows selecting a file from the local workstation. In addition, a 'Select a local or server' icon next to the 'Browse...' button allows selecting a file from "My PC" (local workstation) or "DMSi Desktop" (terminal server).

For locally hosted environments, the following changes have been implemented.

·         The 'Select a file' icon has been replaced with a 'Browse...' command button on numerous windows. File selection functionality remains unchanged.
