How to Assign Users to Security Groups Access the Security Group Module (System Administration > Security Administration > Security Groups) In the bottom middle of the screen, type the name of the group you are looking for in the Search field and click Find. Or, use the magnifying glass to open up the Security Group Locator window. Find the Security Group you need to assign users to and click Find. The available users are on the left. To assign users, double click on their name. You can also select multiple users by using the mouse and the Control key. Use the right arrow to move them to the Selected Users side. The system does not limit the number of users you assign to a security group or the number of security groups you assign to a user. However, to ensure the least amount of ongoing maintenance, DMSi recommends that during the planning stage you define distinct and logical security groups with minimal overlap. Click “Save” when complete. Repeat as needed for each security group you will be setting up.
